The series “Rua!” discuss matters of urbanization, leisure, memory, the right to the city and diverse forms o public space occupation, recreating emotional bonds between the city and its inhabitants revealing new ways of creating and thinking the public space. The series accompanies a group or collective that sees the street as a space for art, creativity and communication. This actions are defined as “artistic activism”. Each episode brings the a reflection of the various forms of re-signifying the public space, through the filming of ludic and socially responsible propositions.
The documentaries were shot in the city Sao Paulo and in the cities of Santo André and Osasco, in the metropolitan region of Sao Paulo.
A Mulher que Era o General da Casa is a documentary series in six 56 minutes episodes that tell stories about the civil resistance to the Military Dictatorship in Brazil (1964-1985). Starting on small anonymous actions, the series shows how this actions took on a bigger dimension creating chain reactions that climaxed in the great events that marked the history of recent political history in Brazil. The main characters are Washington Novaes, José Mindlin, Dom Paulo Evaristo Arns, Therezinha Zerbini, Henri Sobel e Jaime Wright.
Underage is a fiction series of 13 episodes of 52 minutes, that comes from the desire of filmmaker Caru Alves de Souza in giving continuity to the universe created in her homonymous feature-film. The series intends to explore the daily activities of a court, specifically the court of Infancy and Youth in downtown São Paulo.
